Call forwarding codes, and how to set them up.
Conditional call forwarding sends a call to another number only when you’re busy, don’t answer, or can’t be reached. Forwarding all calls sends every call away, so your phone never rings. Missed call text back uses the first one.
Two kinds of call forwarding.
Conditional
Only when you can’t pick up.
You still get the chance to answer. A call forwards only if you don’t pick up, you’re already on a call, or your phone is off or out of range.
All calls
Every call, every time.
Every call goes straight to the other number. Your phone doesn’t ring. It’s useful when you’re away, not for everyday missed calls.
Why missed call text back uses conditional forwarding.
You keep your number, and you still answer the calls you can take. Only the calls you miss forward to your Opulentus number. The caller gets a text back from your business in seconds, before they call someone else.
Call forwarding codes by carrier.
Dial these from the phone whose calls you want to forward. Replace [your Opulentus number] with the number shown in your Opulentus setup. During setup, you pick your carrier, copy your exact codes, and verify that forwarding works.
T-Mobile
Three codes, one for each case.
Type 1, then the 10-digit number.
**61*1[your Opulentus number]**15#No answer. Your phone rings for 15 seconds first.**67*1[your Opulentus number]#Busy, when you’re on another call.**62*1[your Opulentus number]#Unreachable, when your phone is off or has no signal.##004#Turn forwarding off. Resets call forwarding to default.
If your line won’t accept the first code, T-Mobile also documents it without the ring delay. Dial this instead, then verify in Opulentus setup:

Wi-Fi Calling on? T-Mobile phones sometimes won’t save the code while Wi-Fi Calling is on. Turn it off, dial the code, then turn it back on.
Verizon
One code for busy or unanswered.
Use the 10-digit number, area code included.

Don’t use *72 for this. It forwards every call, so your phone stops ringing.
AT&T
No published dial code.
AT&T doesn’t publish call forwarding dial codes for its wireless service. Its support page covers what forwarding does and sends you to your phone’s own settings instead, so we don’t print a code here that AT&T doesn’t document.
What to do: turn it on in your phone’s own call forwarding settings, or ask AT&T for the code for your line. Either way, confirm it with AT&T rather than with us. Start at AT&T’s call forwarding support page. What you want is conditional call forwarding, for no answer and busy, to your Opulentus number.
Then tap Verify in Opulentus setup. It places a real test call and confirms your calls actually forward, so you don’t have to take a code on trust.

Why isn’t my call forwarding working?
Start with these checks, then call your carrier if it still won’t save.
Check the code
Dial it exactly.
- Copy the code character by character, including every * and #.
- Include the full 10-digit number with the area code. On T-Mobile, put a 1 in front of it.
- Don’t add spaces, dashes, or extra buttons.
- Use the code for your carrier. Verizon codes look nothing like T-Mobile codes.
- On T-Mobile, turn Wi-Fi Calling off, dial the code, then turn it back on.
Check the plan
Make sure your line supports it.
- Some plans don’t include conditional call forwarding, or charge for it. Ask your carrier.
- Turn forwarding off, then dial the codes again.
- In Opulentus setup, the troubleshooter walks you through it and offers a backup code.
- Still stuck? Contact your carrier and ask them to check call forwarding on your line.
VoIP or landline number?
VoIP phone systems don’t use dial codes for this. You turn forwarding on through your phone provider instead. Opulentus setup detects your line type and tells you what to ask for. On a traditional landline, some phone companies won’t turn this kind of forwarding on, so book a call first and we’ll check yours with you.

Tap Verify.
Once it’s on, tap Verify in Opulentus setup. We confirm it’s working.

Call forwarding questions.
What are the codes for call forwarding?
It depends on your carrier. On T-Mobile, **61* forwards calls you don't answer, **67* forwards calls when you're busy, and **62* forwards calls when your phone is off or out of range, each with a 1 before the 10-digit number. ##004# turns all three off. Verizon uses *71 for busy or unanswered calls, and *73 to turn it off. AT&T doesn't publish dial codes for its wireless service, so check yours with AT&T.
How do I turn off call forwarding?
On T-Mobile, dial ##004#. On Verizon, dial *73. Your phone goes back to working the way it did before. AT&T doesn't publish a dial code for its wireless service, so check yours with AT&T.
Does *72 forward phone calls?
On Verizon, yes. Dial *72 plus a 10-digit number and every call forwards to that number. For missed call text back, use *71 instead, so your phone still rings and only busy or unanswered calls forward. Dial *73 to turn either one off.
Why is *72 not working to forward calls?
*72 is the forward-all code Verizon documents. T-Mobile uses a different format that starts with **. Verizon also says an extra button pressed during setup means the number won't be recognized. The number must be 10 digits, area code included.
What does *73 do on a phone?
On Verizon, *73 turns call forwarding off. That covers both *72 (forward all calls) and *71 (forward busy or unanswered calls).
What is the code to divert all incoming calls?
On T-Mobile, dial **21* then 1 and the 10-digit number, then #. Dial ##21# to turn it off. On Verizon, dial *72 plus the 10-digit number, and *73 to turn it off. Forwarding all calls means your own phone stops ringing.
Why is my call forwarding not working?
Check that you dialed the code for your carrier exactly, with the full 10-digit number. On T-Mobile, turn Wi-Fi Calling off, dial the code, then turn it back on. Can I forward a landline or VoIP number?
A VoIP number, yes, through your phone provider instead of a dial code. Ask your provider to turn on conditional call forwarding, for no answer and busy, to your Opulentus number. Then tap Verify in Opulentus setup to confirm it works. A traditional landline depends on the phone company, and some won't turn this kind of forwarding on, so book a call with the button at the top of this page and we'll check yours with you first.
How do I know call forwarding is working?
Opulentus setup has a Verify step. It places a real test call to your number and confirms the call forwards. If nothing shows it working 48 hours after you go live, we check in with you.
How do I forward calls to another cell phone?
Use your carrier's forwarding code with the other phone's number. To forward every call, use the forward-all code. To forward only the calls you miss, use the conditional codes. Your carrier may charge for forwarded minutes, so check your plan.
Do I have to change my phone number to use Opulentus?
No. Customers keep calling the number they already know. Only the calls you miss forward to your Opulentus number, which texts the caller back.
