When it texts
- Missed during hours. You couldn’t get to the phone.
- Busy or declined. You were on another call, or sent this one away.
- After hours. A separate message for calls after you close. More on after hours.
What it skips
- Hidden numbers. Blocked, withheld, and anonymous caller IDs don’t get a text.
- Repeat callers. A cooldown, 4 hours by default, stops text after text.
- Opt-outs. The first text says “Reply STOP to opt out.” Anyone who replies STOP stops getting texts.

No. Nobody answers the phone for you. When you miss a call, the caller gets a text from your business in seconds, answers the questions you set, and the lead comes to you.
What happens when someone calls about a burst pipe and I can't pick up?
They get your text right away. If you turn on the urgency question, they can reply 1 for urgent service. You see that in your inbox and your text alert, and you decide who to call back first. Opulentus doesn't dispatch anyone.
Can I ask callers to send a photo of the leak?
Yes. Setup has an optional photo question you can turn on. It's off by default, and you can reword it.
How much does an answering service for plumbers charge?

Nothing changes. You talk to the caller like normal. Opulentus only texts callers you don't reach, based on the switches you turn on: busy, declined, missed during hours, and missed after hours.
What number does the text come from?
Each business gets its own dedicated texting number, and the text is sent in your business's name. Customers still call your usual number.
Does it work with a shop landline or VoIP phone?
VoIP, yes. VoIP lines don't use a dial code: ask your phone provider to turn on conditional call forwarding, for no answer and busy, to your Opulentus number, then tap Verify in setup. A traditional landline depends on the phone company, and some won't turn this kind of forwarding on, so book a call with the button at the top of this page and we'll check yours with you first.
