For cleaning companies

You’re in someone’s house. The call can’t wait there.

Taking a call in a client’s living room isn’t an option, and Opulentus isn’t a live answering service. The caller gets a text from your business in seconds, says how big the job is, and the answers are waiting when you’re back in the car.

The calls a cleaner misses.

Inside a job

Not in front of the client.

Booking a new job in the kitchen of the house you’re cleaning is awkward. The text goes out and you stay out of it.

Machines running

The vacuum wins.

Between the machine and the earbuds, a ring doesn’t register until you’re four rooms away and it’s over.

Between houses

Your bag is by the door.

Phone in the bag, you in the back bathroom. The gap between jobs is the only window you actually have, and now it’s enough.

What a cleaning caller sees.

This example uses your own first message, the ZIP code question, and the third question reworded as one-time or recurring.

Example text. Example Clean Co. is a made-up business.

The questions you’d ask on the phone.

There are six, in a fixed order. Three are on when you start and three are off. You write the wording for all of them.

On to start

  • Service. Home or office, and how many bedrooms and bathrooms.
  • ZIP code. Whether the house sits in the part of town your crew already works.
  • Urgency. Reword it as one-time, move-out, or recurring. That’s the answer that decides the price.

Off until you want them

  • Description. Pets in the home, a post-construction mess, or how long since the last clean.
  • Photos. Useful for move-outs, where “empty” can mean several different things.
  • Callback. Best number and time, for the recurring accounts worth a real conversation.

Your rules for every missed call.

When it texts

  • Missed during hours. The workhorse. Your phone sits in a bag while you’re inside a house.
  • Busy or declined. You were already talking to a client, or you sent the call away to keep working.
  • After hours. Worth turning on, because move-out and pre-listing calls come at night while people pack. More on after hours.

What it skips

  • Hidden numbers. Blocked, withheld, and anonymous caller IDs don’t get a text.
  • Repeat callers. A cooldown, 4 hours by default, stops text after text.
  • Opt-outs. The first text says “Reply STOP to opt out.” Anyone who replies STOP stops getting texts.

How it works.

Step one

Set it up yourself.

Start your free trial, pick Cleaning, and write your message and your questions. Your words, your hours, your rules.

Step two

Forward your missed calls.

Keep the number on your flyers. On a cell phone, dial your carrier’s codes. On a VoIP line, your phone provider turns forwarding on. Then tap Verify. See the forwarding codes.

Step three

Finish the house.

Missed callers get a text in seconds. Their answers land in your inbox, and you get a text alert when a lead comes in.

Questions cleaning owners ask.

Is this an answering service for cleaning companies?

No. Nobody answers your phone for you. Missed callers get a text from your business with your questions, and you reply from your inbox between houses.

Can it size the job before I call back?

It asks whatever you set. Bedrooms and bathrooms, one-time or recurring, home or office. You get the answers written down instead of scribbled on a receipt.

Can I use it for commercial accounts too?

Yes. Reword the first question to ask home or office, and you can tell a nightly office bid from a Saturday deep clean at a glance.

My cleaners use their own phones. Does this change that?

No. Forwarding is set up on the business line customers call. Your cleaners' phones stay exactly as they are.

What if a client calls three times in a row to reschedule?

A per-caller cooldown, 4 hours by default, stops repeat texts to the same number. They don't get a wall of messages.

Do I have to change my number?

No. Customers keep calling the number on your flyers and your Google profile. Each business gets its own dedicated texting number, and the text goes out in your business's name.

What does it cost?

After a 14-day free trial: $169/mo month-to-month, $139/mo on a 12-month plan billed monthly, or $1,548 a year on a 12-month plan billed annually. A card is required to start, and you won't be charged if you cancel during the 14 days.

How do I know forwarding actually worked?

Setup ends with a Verify step that places a real test call and confirms your missed calls reach Opulentus. On a VoIP line, your provider turns forwarding on first.
