For junk removal
Both arms on a couch. Your phone can still answer.
Same-day callers are not patient people, and Opulentus isn’t a live answering service. The caller gets a text from your business in seconds and says what they’re clearing and how much of it there is.
The calls a hauling crew misses.
On the stairs
A mattress down two flights.
Two people, four hands, one tight stairwell. There is no version of that where somebody answers a phone.
At the transfer station
Weighing in, dumping out.
The yard is loud and busy and you’re in a queue. The caller gets your questions while you wait on the scale.
Same-day race
Called at 9, wants it gone by noon.
The text goes out while the couch is still on your shoulder, and the load size is waiting for you at the truck.
What a hauling caller sees.
This example uses your own first message, the ZIP code question, and the third question reworded as today or later this week.
Example text. Example Haul Away is a made-up business.
The questions you’d ask on the phone.
There are six, in a fixed order. Three are on when you start and three are off. You write the wording for all of them.
On to start
- Service. What needs to go, and roughly how much: a few pieces, a room, or a full house.
- ZIP code. Which decides the drive and the dump fee as much as the load does.
- Urgency. Reword it as today or later this week. Same-day is the whole business.
Off until you want them
- Description. Ground level, stairs, or an elevator, and anything heavy like a safe or a hot tub.
- Photos. The fastest way to price a pile you cannot see.
- Callback. Best number and time, for full-house clear-outs.
Your rules for every missed call.
When it texts
- Missed during hours. The crew is on a truck all day, so this is the bulk of it.
- Busy or declined. You were already quoting someone, or your hands were under a dresser.
- After hours. Worth switching on: people decide to clear a garage at night and want it booked for the morning. More on after hours.
What it skips
- Hidden numbers. Blocked, withheld, and anonymous caller IDs don’t get a text.
- Repeat callers. A cooldown, 4 hours by default, stops text after text.
- Opt-outs. The first text says “Reply STOP to opt out.” Anyone who replies STOP stops getting texts.
How it works.
Step one
Set it up yourself.
Start your free trial. Junk removal isn’t a preset, so pick “Something else” and type your trade, then write your message and your questions.
Step two
Forward your missed calls.
Keep the number on your truck. On a cell phone, dial your carrier’s codes. On a VoIP line, your phone provider turns forwarding on. Then tap Verify. See the forwarding codes.
Step three
Load the truck.
Missed callers get a text in seconds. Their answers land in your inbox, and you get a text alert when a lead comes in.
2 weeks free on every plan
Two weeks free. Then the plan that fits.
Your card isn’t charged for the first 14 days, and you can cancel during the trial. Billing starts after, on the plan you choose. The 12-month plans are yearly agreements: no cancelling mid-term and no refunds.

Questions haulers ask.
Is this an answering service for junk removal?
No. Nobody answers your phone. Missed callers get a text from your business, answer the questions you set, and become a lead in your inbox.
Can it size the load before I call back?
It asks what you tell it to ask. A few pieces, a room, or a full house gives you enough to judge whether you have a truck free.
Can it ask about stairs?
Yes, and it's worth asking. Stairs change your time and your price more than the item list does. Put it in the description question.
Can a customer send a photo of the pile?
Yes, if you turn the photo question on. It's off to start. One picture of the garage beats three questions about how much there is.
Can it tell me if it's a same-day job?
Yes. Reword the third question as today or later this week, with numbered replies. Same-day requests go to the top of your callback list.
Do I have to change my number?
No. Customers keep calling the number on your truck. Each business gets its own dedicated texting number, and the text goes out in your business's name.
What does it cost?
After a 14-day free trial: $169/mo month-to-month, $139/mo on a 12-month plan billed monthly, or $1,548 a year on a 12-month plan billed annually. A card is required to start the trial, and you won't be charged if you cancel during the 14 days.
What about the wrong-number traffic I get?
Blocked, withheld, anonymous, and invalid caller IDs are skipped. They get no text and don't show up as leads. A wrong number with a real caller ID is treated like any other missed call.
