For pressure washing
The machine is louder than your ringtone.
A surface cleaner at full throttle buries every notification, and Opulentus isn’t a live answering service. The caller gets a text from your business in seconds and says what needs washing, so you can price it from your phone at lunch.
The calls a washer misses.
Mid-pass
Stop and you leave a line.
Halfway down a driveway is the worst place to take a call. You finish the pass, and the caller already has your questions.
Up a ladder
Both hands on the wand.
Soft-washing second-story siding leaves no free hand and no safe moment to answer anything.
Soaked
Wet gloves, wet screen.
Overspray, gloves, and a hose reel don’t mix with a phone you have to swipe. The text goes out without you touching it.
What a washing caller sees.
This example uses your own first message, the ZIP code question, and the third question reworded as house or commercial.
Example text. Example Wash Co. is a made-up business.
The questions you’d ask on the phone.
There are six, in a fixed order. Three are on when you start and three are off. You write the wording for all of them.
On to start
- Service. Driveway, siding, deck, or roof. The surface changes the whole quote.
- ZIP code. Or the property address, so you can look at it on a map before you drive.
- Urgency. Reword it as house or commercial. Those are two different price sheets.
Off until you want them
- Description. Square footage, how many stories, and whether there’s an outdoor spigot you can use.
- Photos. One picture of the siding answers what three questions can’t.
- Callback. Best number and time, for the bigger commercial bids.
Your rules for every missed call.
When it texts
- Missed during hours. You run equipment from morning to late afternoon, which is exactly when homeowners call.
- Busy or declined. You were on with a customer, or you sent the call away to finish the pass.
- After hours. Optional here. Most of this work gets booked in daylight, so turn it on only if you want it. More on after hours.
What it skips
- Hidden numbers. Blocked, withheld, and anonymous caller IDs don’t get a text.
- Repeat callers. A cooldown, 4 hours by default, stops text after text.
- Opt-outs. The first text says “Reply STOP to opt out.” Anyone who replies STOP stops getting texts.
How it works.
Step one
Set it up yourself.
Start your free trial. Pressure washing isn’t a preset, so pick “Something else” and type your trade, then write your message and your questions.
Step two
Forward your missed calls.
Keep the number on your truck. On a cell phone, dial your carrier’s codes. On a VoIP line, your phone provider turns forwarding on. Then tap Verify. See the forwarding codes.
Step three
Finish the driveway.
Missed callers get a text in seconds. Their answers land in your inbox, and you get a text alert when a lead comes in.

Questions washers ask.
Is this an answering service?
No. Nobody picks up. Your missed callers get a text from your business, answer the questions you set, and show up in your inbox as a lead.
Can it tell a driveway job from a full house wash?
Only if you ask. Put the surface in the first question and the size in the description question, and you can sort a small driveway from a two-story soft wash before you call back.
Can I ask whether they have a water source?
Yes. Reword one of the six questions to ask about an outdoor spigot. It's a good one, because water access decides whether the job is doable at all.
I work out of a truck with no office phone. Is that a problem?
No. Forwarding is set on the mobile number your customers already call. There's no office hardware and no second phone to carry.
What happens with the spam calls I get all day?
Blocked, withheld, anonymous, and invalid caller IDs are skipped. They get no text and don't show up as leads. Ordinary spam calls with a real caller ID are treated like any other missed call.
Do I have to change my number?
No. The number on your truck and your Google profile stays. Each business gets its own dedicated texting number, and the text goes out in your business's name.
What does it cost?
After a 14-day free trial: $169/mo month-to-month, $139/mo on a 12-month plan billed monthly, or $1,548 a year on a 12-month plan billed annually. A card is required to start the trial, and there's no charge if you cancel during the 14 days.
Does it work if I use a VoIP business line?
Yes. VoIP lines don't use a dial code. Your provider turns on conditional forwarding for no answer and busy, then you tap Verify to place a test call.
