Do answering services still exist?

Can I tell a power outage call from a quote request?
Yes, if you use the urgency question. Callers reply 1 for urgent service or 2 for a regular appointment. Their first reply also tells you what the job is.
How much does an answering service charge?
We can only speak to our own prices. After a 14-day free trial, Opulentus is $169/mo month-to-month, $139/mo on a 12-month plan billed monthly, or $1,548 a year billed annually. A card is required to start the trial.
Will it text a caller I talk to?
No. If you answer, nothing changes. Opulentus only texts callers you don't reach, based on the switches you turn on: busy, declined, missed during hours, and missed after hours.
Does it text spam calls?
Calls from blocked, withheld, anonymous, or invalid caller IDs are skipped. Other calls are treated like any missed call, and a cooldown keeps a repeat caller from getting text after text.
What number does the text come from?
Each business gets its own dedicated texting number, and the text is sent in your business's name. Customers still call your usual number.
Does it work with an office landline or VoIP phone?
VoIP, yes. VoIP lines don't use a dial code: ask your phone provider to turn on conditional call forwarding, for no answer and busy, to your Opulentus number, then tap Verify in setup. A traditional landline depends on the phone company, and some won't turn this kind of forwarding on, so book a call with the button at the top of this page and we'll check yours with you first.
